Our Friday is shaping up to be a warm one as temperatures are on their way to the lower 90s this afternoon. The dew points are still on the higher side in the mid to lower 70s, this is leading to that stickiness in the air. However, higher up in the atmosphere, there is still a lack of abundant moisture. This will keep rain chances today on the lower side. We will see a few spotty to isolated showers through the late afternoon up through the early evening. Very similar to yesterday, these will be relatively small showers and spotty in nature.
Overnight, the clouds will clear out and temperatures will fall into the mid-70s. This will kick off a nice start to the weekend. Saturday we will be contending with partly cloudy skies. Northwesterly winds will kick ad and could spark a few stray to isolated showers ahead of a cold front. The best chance for seeing an isolated shower would be well inland. The continued lack of rain will allow temperatures to be slightly above average near the lower 90s.
We will start to see daily highs around to below average starting Sunday. This is due to a cold front that will arrive late this weekend. Although we will see this front push through, there will still be of lack of moisture in the atmosphere leading to a low chance for rain as it passes. This front will primarily bring some cooler temperatures through Tuesday morning and drier air here at the surface. We will see dew points in the mid to lower 60s. Overnight lows could dip into the upper 60s near the coast and some mid to lower 60s further north. This will depend on how far south the cooler air mass pushes. At a minimum, we will all have a couple of days of cooler weather. The caveat is that some models indicate moisture will lift back in near the midweek and will increase the rain chance for next week back to be isolated around Tuesday and scattered by Wednesday.
